GlucoTrailPrivacy Policy

GlucoTrail works without an account, advertising, analytics, or tracking. The journal remains local; after you voluntarily connect Apple Health, the app saves only the value, time, and meal context of a manual entry there. Data stored by the app

Entries, notes, settings, and reminder schedules are stored locally in a protected GlucoTrail directory excluded from iCloud Backup. GlucoTrail does not use CloudKit or operate a health-data server.

Apple Health — optional

After you explicitly connect Apple Health, GlucoTrail saves the glucose value, time, user-entered marker, and meal context there. Notes, reminders, and settings never enter Apple Health. The app reads back only samples created by GlucoTrail, including for its widget and entry restoration. Apple manages Health storage and any synchronization according to your device and account settings.

No collection or tracking

GlucoTrail 1.0 does not send personal or health data to Desima, an analytics partner, or an advertiser. It contains no user accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Apple Health processing occurs on-device through Apple's system service; Desima does not receive that data.

Notifications

If you enable a reminder, iOS or iPadOS stores and delivers a neutral local notification. Its text does not contain glucose values.

Export

A CSV file is created temporarily only when you choose Export. The previous export is replaced, and GlucoTrail temporary files are removed by Delete All Data. You decide where a copy is sent or saved using Apple's system share sheet.

Data deletion

You can delete individual entries or the entire local journal in GlucoTrail. Delete All Data removes readings, notes, reminder schedules, and temporary CSV exports from the device and stops future Apple Health saving. Entries previously saved to Apple Health remain there until you use the separate removal control in GlucoTrail Settings or delete them in the Health app. GlucoTrail does not recreate a Health entry merely because the app launches; choosing Connect or Sync, or editing its local entry, can save it there again. Removing GlucoTrail removes its local journal but does not by itself guarantee removal of data stored by Apple Health.

Effective date

This policy is effective July 15, 2026.
